What type of work will you transcribe?

I am trained in both general and legal transcription, so I can transcribe anything except medical dictations. I accept interviews, interrogations, lectures, focus groups, podcasts, YouTube videos, Zoom and other virtual meetings, speeches, and therapy sessions. If you’re not sure what your audio would be considered, please feel free to contact me!

What is TAT?

TAT stands for turn around time. The standard TAT is five business days. If you submit an audio on Wednesday, I will return it by the following Wednesday.

What is the difference between standard verbatim and strict verbatim?

Standard verbatim is cleaned up speech. I will remove all of the hms, ums, filler words such as “you know”, false starts and stutters. This is standard for a transcript unless specified otherwise.

Strict verbatim captures everything that is said. Every um, uh, mm-hm, repeated word and filler will be transcribed.

Do you do ongoing projects?

Yes, absolutely. Much of my work is considered ongoing.

Do you provide other services?

Yes. I am also a trained proof reader. I proofread all transcripts at no additional cost. If you only need a documented proofread, please see the rates page for pricing.

What are your hours of operations?

TAT is based on business days, but I do work weekends. If I complete a job sooner than expected I will return it to you ASAP and you only pay for the price you ordered.

When is payment due?

Payment is due within 5 days of the invoice being issued.

Do you charge a deposit?

All new customers will be invoiced a 50% deposit with balance due upon completion. Your deposit will automatically be applied to your final invoice total.

What does HIPAA Certified mean?

I have completed a training course and received certification acknowledging that I know and understand HIPAA compliance rules.
